FOR RELEASE JANUARY 25, 2012 (ANY TIME)
San Francisco, CA - January 25, 2012 - Smile, a developer of productivity applications for Mac and iOS, announced that iCloud support is now available in PDFpen and the new PDFpen for iPad. PDFpen customers can use iCloud for ubiquitous storage of their PDFs, which are then available for editing on both iPad and Mac.
For Mac users, Smile released PDFpen 5.7 and PDFpenPro 5.7. The Mac App Store version includes iCloud support. Smile also released a new product, PDFpen Cloud Access, which gives the ability to access iCloud to PDFpen and PDFpenPro users who update to version 5.7 via Smile directly.
"We're thrilled to bring iCloud access to PDFpen, making it a complete cross-device storage and editing solution for PDF documents. iCloud access is currently available only to apps purchased on the Mac App Store," said Smile founder Greg Scown. "With PDFpen Cloud Access, we found a way to make it possible for Smile's direct PDFpen and PDFpenPro customers to use iCloud for seamless editing and syncing."
For users of the newly-released PDFpen for iPad, PDFpen Cloud Access makes it possible to edit their PDFpen documents on a Mac. Documents stored on iCloud using PDFpen for iPad can be opened and edited on the Mac using PDFpen or other Mac PDF editors.
